Shipping & Returns

We sell books in two forms and make things to order, so this page has two halves. Read the one that applies to what you bought.

Digital editions

How you get it

Your download link arrives by email within a minute or two, and appears on the confirmation page straight away. Nothing ships and nothing is waited for. If the email has not arrived within fifteen minutes, check your spam folder first — that is where it usually is — then write to us and we will resend it.

Your link stays active. You can download more than once, to more than one device. Lose it and we will reissue it.

Refunds on digital editions

A downloaded file cannot be returned, so digital editions are not refundable once the download has been accessed. Two exceptions, applied generously:

The file will not open, or is corrupted. Tell us your device and reading app; we fix it or refund you in full.
You bought twice, or bought the wrong thing. Write within 14 days and we sort it out.

If you have not yet downloaded the file, cancel within 14 days for a full refund, no questions asked.

What you may do with it

The file is yours to read on your own devices and to keep. Please do not upload it, share it publicly, or resell it.

Physical items

How long it takes

Production — 2 to 5 business days. This is when the item is actually made.
Transit — 3 to 7 business days within the United States.

Expect 5 to 12 business days in total. Orders placed at weekends or on holidays begin production the next business day. November and December can add a few days, and we say so on the site when that is the case.

What it costs

Shipping is calculated at checkout from the size and weight of what you have ordered and where it is going. You see the exact figure before you pay — there is never a charge added afterwards.

Within the United States, standard shipping usually falls between $6 and $11 for a typical order
Each additional item adds only a small amount, so ordering two or three together costs far less than ordering them separately
Digital editions carry no shipping charge, anywhere in the world

Outside the United States: most of our prints, journals and notebooks can be sent to Canada, Australia and much of Europe. International rates are higher and are shown at checkout. If your country is not offered at checkout, we cannot reach it yet — write to us and we will tell you whether that is likely to change.

Any customs duty or import tax charged by your own country is not included in what you pay us and is your responsibility. This is a rule of your customs service, not ours.

Tracking

A confirmation email when you order, then a second with tracking as soon as your parcel leaves the printer. If tracking has not moved for a few days that is usually a carrier scanning gap rather than a lost parcel — but write to us and we will look into it.

Split deliveries

Several items may arrive separately, on different days, at no extra cost to you. Different products are made in different facilities and we would rather send each piece as it is ready than hold your order for the slowest item. Order a book with its ebook and the file arrives immediately, the printed copy follows.

If something is wrong

Damaged, misprinted, or not what you ordered: we replace it free or refund you in full — your choice. Nothing to send back, no shipping for you to pay.

Email yourgrace@allthekingsladies.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the item. A photo is genuinely all we need.

Made-to-order items

Books, prints, journals and notebooks are produced individually once you order. Because nothing exists until you buy it, we cannot restock or resell a returned piece, so we are not able to accept change-of-mind returns on these.

How refunds are issued

Approved refunds go back to your original payment method. We process them within 2 business days of approving your request. Your bank then takes a further 5 to 10 business days to post the funds, which is outside our control.

Original shipping charges are refunded only where the item was faulty, incorrect, or never arrived.

Cancelling an order

Production starts quickly, so a physical order can usually only be cancelled within about 2 hours. Email us straight away and we will do everything we can. Digital orders can be cancelled any time before the file is downloaded.

Parcels that never arrive

If tracking says delivered and you do not have it, check with your household, your neighbours and your building's parcel room, then contact us within 14 days of the delivery date. A parcel genuinely lost in transit gets replaced.
